Cottage 3 (The Maggie Mae) The Maggie Mae, named for Maggie Mae Setzer who was born in this cottage in 1890. The cottage dates from 1872 to the present day. She is the one that the Town of Maggie Valley was named after. Her family once owned the land Mountain Joy Cottages sits on. The Maggie Mae is our largest cottage. 3 Bedroom / 3 Bath (2 Queens, 2 Twins) The cottage also has a single Jacuzzi tub as well as a double Jacuzzi tub.
